Azumaya was built for the Japan House at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. The frame is built from reclaimed old-growth redwood timbers with ebony details, roof shakes are cedar, the bench is a redwood root with a redwood burl slab top. Azumaya sits on a hand brushed concrete pad.
