Quaich

A quaich is a traditional Scottish two-handled cup, known as the “cup of friendship.” It’s been passed between couples at weddings, each person holding a handle, sharing a drink and a promise.

We turned this one in our shop from cherry wood, shaped the handles by hand, and finished it with a food-grade oil and wax blend. It was a surprise for a client’s partner, made for their wedding in Scotland.

A little cup with a whole lot of heart. Cheers.
